Safety and Climate Documents

The Housing Element is the City’s blueprint to meet the community’s housing needs over the next eight years. It is comprised of the Housing Plan, which sets forth goals, policies and actions to support retention and development of housing and appendices that provide background and analysis into housing-related outreach, needs, resources, constraints, past accomplishments over the last eight years cycle, and a fair housing assessment. The Draft Housing Element was submitted to the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) on August 31, 2022, and the City received comments from HCD on November 28, 2022. The draft Housing Element was revised based on HCD’s comments and revisions are shown in strikethrough/underline. The revised draft of the Housing Element is available for public review through January 2, 2023.
